I recently did some work and attended a presentation put on by the Dominion, who are on tour seeking support and funds to start a National Media Coop. It seems to me to be a path-breaking and innovative piece of activism and education.
The Dominion have been working with a variety of operating models for the past 4-5 years and have finally honed in on something that I think could work in the long term and be something that will develop into a strong democratic alternative to capitalist press.
Watch out for this...One Honest Party might be moving to the Toronto Media Coop in the distance future.
