The ATimes has an excellent 2 part series hat argues that the world-wide increase in food prices is not just caused by consumption.
Whereas most arguments on why prices have been going up center around high oil prices, ethanol fuel and population increases, two writers speculate that the whole thing may be caused by something else: the stockmarket.
