The Tyee has a really good story about a member of the Sinixt first nation who the BC government has declared extinct for a number of years.
While on the other side of the country Algonquins in Barriere Lake, Quebec are occupying offices trying to get some publicity about the stuff going on in their communities. Such as the Federal government unilaterally throwing out their leadership and replacing it with cronies.
