Beyond Robson's Morning Brew goes over the top under-reported stories in 2007. Granted a bunch of them are BC/Vancouver-focused but a whole whack are also National and international stories that are super important. It's a big list and kind of weird to realize that a lot of the stuff you read about...no one knows.

Luckily, on a happier note it seems that Africa is finally pulling some weight and not getting screwed around by the West. This December, "the second EU-Africa summit in Lisbon, tried to force the African countries to sign new trade agreements by 31 December 2007. The president of Senegal, Abdoulaye Wade, denounced these strong-arm tactics, refused to sign and stormed out. South Africa’s Thabo Mbeki immediately supported his stand and Namibia also decided not to sign (bravely, since an increase in EU customs duties would make it impossible for Namibia to export or continue to produce beef)."

Seems China is allowing a lot of these countries a choice o which horse to back.
