More lying liars

In my ongoing attempt to chronicle acts of deception...

After rash of scandals involving the RCMP hit the press in the last couple of years, the recent relevations that a bunch of RCMP officers want to expose "nepotism and forgery of financial documents, illegal electronic spying of lower-ranked officers, and harassment of gay officers" has the opposition parties calling for a public inquiry into the scandals.

The Tories are refusing.

Meanwhile, The BC Libs are refusing to hand over documents that they are supposed to supply under Freedom of Information law. Public Eye Online asked for the documents but got stonewalled.

Finally, I was very glad that Canada did not take part in the Iraq war. I was specifically glad to hear that Montreal-based, Garda World Security Corp was not supplying the massive private corporate army in Iraq.

Garda "said that 5,000 of Garda's 50,000 workers are in the Middle East. They would not say how many people it has in Iraq, but it is believed to be one of the larger suppliers of private security personnel in the war-torn country."
