El Fucko himself, Paul Wolfowitz is probably going to be forced to resign from the World Bank after it was discovered he used his influence to push for his girlfirned getting a promotion 3 times the size that she was supposed to. Or simpler, he was corrupt.
The sad part about this is that he has come under fire for getting his gilfriend some sweet digs. Not that whole Iraq war thing or being a Bush crony/imperialistic ass in his position at the World Bank.
But if he goes that will be another one. Some racist, right-wing nutter, radio host in the US got the ax this week when he called a bunch of black women racist names. An interesting article in Zmag argues that he got the ax, not because he was racist against black women, but because he was racist against....athletes.
Zmag, also has a great recount of all the money which has been pissed away in Iraq. Most of it was supposed to go to reconstruction but most of that has been tremendously shoddy or non-existant. Then there's the case of the missing $12 billion in cash....
Finally, in my continuing comparisons between Latin American lefties and Scandinavia, Chavez informed Statoil, Norway's largest oil company, that he will be sending soldiers to take over their operations.
Point to Norway, for never putting up any kind of resistance to the takeover and negotiating a fair settlemtn with the government.
