As reported in a previous post, I did a story a number of months ago on the case of Ian Bush, a kid who was mysteriously shot in the back of he head by an RCMP officer in Houston B.C., where I work during treeplanting summers.
The case has taken off. Due to pressure put on the government by, for example, former sports writer Gary Mason, now writing in the Globe and Mail, an inquest was held (slightly weaker than a public inquiry) where all kinds of crazy facts started popping up about the case. First, it was found out that the cop who shot the kid wasn't interviewed for 3 months, then some courageous RCMP officer from Edmonton is called by Bush's family to challenge the RCMP findings, then the inquest head obviously gets a call from Stockwell and declares that the RCMP's cooking of the evidence in this case will not be discussed prompting Ian Mulgrew of the Vancouver Sun to declare the whoile thing a whitewash.
Edmonton dude anyways says the RCMP version of events is impossible but the inquest who was hamstrung in what it could rule hands down some shoddy recommendations none of which are binding. None of which put the story to rest.
